Danny McCrum is a guitarist, singer, songwriter, producer and podcaster with extensive experience on stage and in the studio. 

He has worked with and supported many top artists including Eric Clapton, Tommy Emmanuel, John Mayer, John Butler Trio, Jeff Beck, Bryan Ferry, Joan Armatrading, Norah Jones, Jimmy Barnes, Simple Minds, Katie Melua and many top New Zealand acts. He currently performs with Noise PlayThe Buskers and Campbell. 


Danny has released five albums: Awake & Restless (2007, Elite Music), Say What You Mean (2009, Liberation/Universal), Letters to the Future (2012, Paper Plane), Hustle Bustle (2019, Paper Plane) and Junk (with Noise Play) (2024, Paper Plane).


He has worked as a session musician for numerous producers and artists including Greg Haver, Stephen Small, Lizzie Marvelly, Peter van Gent, Alex Burke (US), Magnolia Memoir (US), Debbie Harwood, Campbell, Emme Lentino (NZ/US), Venice Quin, Phil Edwards Band, Georgia Lines, AutoMatic 80s and the Michael Jackson tribute show 'King Of Pop’. 


Co-founded with Bobby Kennedy (Drummer from Opshop) Danny hosts the podcast series Don’t Give Up where he talks to creative professionals about their experiences in the entertainment business.
